things i would do:
- vary engine speed (dont drive at constant speeds for too long)
- no WOT
- dont rev over 5000
- dont change oil till reccomended. (is it still 7500mi for oil changes, 3750 under "Extreme" conditions?)

According to the service tech that gave a talk at my dealer's new owners' clinic, there are very few places that don't come under the "extreme conditions" category. If you drive in hot (above 90) or cold temperatures, or any mixture of such. If you drive in city traffic, or particularly hilly or mountainous roads. if you do lots of short trips. Obviously, if you hot rod a lot. All these qualify for more frequent changes. They generally recommend that if you are in doubt, then use the extreme conditions schedule and change oil every 3750 miles. That's what I plan to do.

:werd: ^infinity!

just do what the manual tells you to do. 'nuff said. And do not change the oil at 1000 miles!!!

oh yeah, I doubt anyone would want to wait till 7500 miles to change their oil...

yeah, I think you just have to make sure you DO NOT keep a constant speed. I don't see how going 70-75 will hurt anything...
