Default turbo vs. supercharger....

What's up...

Opinion time:

I have a stock f22 with a slew of bolt on mods (header, cold air intake, couple of chips, etc)...still not enough power (torque or overall HP)-

What's the best use of my funds...a head kit (Gude, for ex), turbo or supercharger???

They do not make Superchargers for the F22. I have heard that people have gotten bad performance out of the Gude Head package. The turbo kit would be your best bet out of those three.

I personally say go with the H22. Better performance to start of with and you could also go all motor or turbo with that. Im not sure if you can get a supercharger for the H22 because I was told there was not enough room on the Accord engine bay.

cool, thanks bro!

I would go for the full H22, but will my DC Sports header and other bolt on mods fit? What about the whole OBD2 thing? is this the best use of coin? I have a 96 as well!

Sorry your F22 header will not fit. I beileve neither will your intake because the H22 is 3 inch's I beileve and the accords are 2.XX.
When you get H22 header, you will have to do some custom work for it to bolt on to the accord pipeing. Not a lot just a little.

Im still trying to understand the whole OBD2 thing. But I beileve if you get a 97 and up you wont have a problem? maybe not. Just remeber you if you get a H22 for it to be legal it has to be your year accord and up.

You can always sell your header and intake. That is what im going to do next feb. when I swap it.

Got any pics of your car?

Whatz up, 96JdmAccord,

thanks for the "beta", I think the verdict is in ( ihave had enough people agree with U on this)...h22 it is, full on- 5 spd tranny and all (now the big question...who getz my coin...any suggestions on where I can grab one w/ low prices, low mileage, legit reseller)?then maybe a little Nitrous for fun until I can secure more fundz and get a turbo later.

I will unveil some pics in a few weeks...still too much work to unveil yet, but I'm starting to like what I see/ feel (compared to what I started with) but like I said earlier..tooo slow for "go", and about 50% complete for "show"

=)

If I have a 96...which year h22's will mount in my bay? Is there an advantage say... with a 97, 98+ over a 96 (in HP and Torque)?????? is there a "best year" model?

What up AKUFC?

when you say Boooost, I am assuming U mean turbo? I have an AEM CAI, DC sports header, high flow cat, stainless katbak exhaust w/ FB muffler...venom 400, E-RAM (it's funky...in a good/ sick kinda way), ecu upg, MSD ignition, etc, yadayadayada...

If I could squeeze about 50-75 (real) more HP out of my nice little 70k f22...I would be as happy JLO's panties must be!

:lmao: on the JLO joke.

by the way, its Cat-back not kat-back. ;-).

Whats a E-Ram?

You could definatly pull of a 50-75hp with a turbo kit. But you could also pull off a 50 hp with a H22.(from what I heard, people get 170 hp to the wheels stock).

The motors on the H22 preludes go like this 93-96 then 97-00.

The 97-00 I would beileve would pull of a little more hp just because they are newer but I beileve it is 200hp/161TQ on both. Good luck! Pics of the car? :naughty:
