Default Water leaks.

I have water leaks coming into my 91 Accord LX trunk. It looks as if the water comes in from the rear tail lights.

Anyone else have the same problem and or ideas on how to fix it?

Also I have rust above the rear tire area on both sides. I've noticed a lot of the 91-93 Accords with the same rust problems. I want to remove the rust and have the car repainted but I want to fix the leak (or problem) so it won't happen again.

Anybody changed out the A/C compressor on one of these year cars? About how many hours to do it?

My brother called me about a week and a half ago and gave me this car. I haven't driven my Jeep Wrangler since. I've been having too much fun in this Honda.

Any help will be appreciated.

The water might be leaking in at the rusty spots... But at least for the newer cars that I own, the taillight gaskets are popular leaks, too. Take off the taillights & check the gaskets. If the car's ever had a collision, maybe the trunklid gasket doesn't fit right?

You could crawl into the trunk with a flashlight, then have somebody hose down the car.

Or you could wait till it's dry, put talcum powder all around inside, then hose it down. Water leaks will leave tracks in the powder.

Thank you I will try to find the leaks with powder.

Also, I won't make the assuption that the water is causing the rust spots and keep in mind that maybe the rust spots are letting the water in.
