Default Headlights

Hi,
I have a 2003 accord coupe and want to change the head light bulbs to something closer to hid without paying that much, any recommendations and I've read around that high wattage bulbs (80 -100 watts) can cause damage down the road, any idea what type of wattage the 03 v4 accord coupe can take? thanks, all help appreciated.

do you mean I4 or V6, cuz v4 doesn't exist?

either way, I don't think there is any difference between their ellectical systems, ata least as far as the headlights go.

I'd stick with sylvania silverstars. you should be able to pick them up at a local parts store for $20/bulb. you'll need two 9006's for your lows and 2 9005's for your highbeams if you want to do them both.

I did alot of research into this stuff, before I ultimately to go with a HID conversion (pending). Sylvania's seemed like the best quality. unfortunately, even the best super-performance halogens will only last about a year. that's part of the reason why I decided not to bother with them and to just spend the money on HIDs since they will likely outlive the car itself.

I don't have an '03, but I have been very happy with Silverstars in my '99. There have been many informative threads in this forum on this topic. Just do different searches for "Silverstars," "HID," and "headlights." For hid info try http://www.hidforum.com .

silverstarts look great, especially if you do the 9006 to 9005 conversion. even if you dont do that they still look good. or you could consider PIAA's. the ones oi have are called Platinum Super White. it is a very very white light without any blue or yellowish coloration. very clean looking.

I've got Silverstars in my 03 coupe...they don't compare to an HID kit but they are certainly a nice upgrade over stock.

you can look at your stock bulbs and usually they display there wattage... if you by the right wattage bulbs you shouldn't have a problem

the most i would go is 55W ... anything over that becomes a fire hazard.
