Car Won't Start... HELP!!
Ok I have 1996 Accord manual transmission and here's the problem. When I turn my key to the 2nd on position, the lights in my dash are not lighting up at all (my SRS light, check engine light, oil light, etc... all those red ones). Is it my ignition switch? IF I try and start the car, my starter just sits there and tries to start the car but nothing will happen. All I hear is the sound of the car trying to start, but nothing will go. It's not my battery, because i've had someone try and jump start me and it still won't go. Also, my radio, headlights, dome light etc all light up fine. I checked all my fuses too and all seem to be ok. My spark plugs, wires, dist. cap, dist. rotor were just changed as well. My guess is it's the ignition switch or coil? Anyone ever experience this?? Please help!! My car is a sitting duck for now
how long did you get jumped for though?
i had sort of the same problem when i had my old pos truck with my system in it
i think it did the same thing, but my instrument lights came on though. anyway, just let someone jump your car for like 15 minutes before you try to start it. if not, i dont know. sorry

My battery is fine, my radio, headlights, dome lights etc all stay on. It's some sort of connection in the ignition that's not working, because in the 2nd on position right before you actually start the car, all those red warning lights should light up. Mine do not! NONE, my entire dash is dead. Thus, my car will not start it just cranks and cranks and cranks. I'm trying to figure out why none of those lights come on when i turn my key into the 2nd on position.
