Thats rare for the alternator to go bad after only 7 years. How many miles on the car? My guesses would be MFR (Main fuel relay) or ignition switch... since these are more common to fail on Hondas than an alternator.

Hey, the starter on my moms 7 month old 03 cr-v died so it very well could be his alternator, however unlikely the odds are. Whatever is keeping his car from starting is probably beyond his power to fix (unless he has a shop in his house) so I suggest getting it towed somewhere that will diagnose and fix the problem. No way around spendin money here. Well, if you have AAA that might save some money for the tow truck......

Ok, I got my car to start. I decided to try and turn on my headlights for the hell of it, and they worked. When I went to turn them off, my battery kicked in and all the red lights went on, so I immediately started my car I think juicing my HID's some how got my battery going. Good thing I left my key in the 2nd on position so I was able to tell right away. I think there's some sort of power leak with my alarm system. I noticed my doors lock by themselves randomly after my alarm is armed. Something there seems to be causing some sort of problem. I just don't use my alarm and my car is fine. I didn't think it was my battery originally because my stereo and dome/door lights would light up and my starter would crank. I'm still baffled as to what exactly is causing this problem. Btw, my car has 94,000 miles on it.

so what was the problem? I'm guessing it was the ignition switch.
