Dx's are dickless dude. I ran a 17.1 and 80.6 MPH in Nebraska. I had a intake. Nearly bone stock for a 96 ex i wasnt diappointed for my time slip. You'll probably annihilate the dx even if he got bolt on mods.

my guess is that you'll beat him by a second. Just for a comparison I raced my friend in a lancer with a CAI. Those are rated at 130hp, and I beat him every time. An ex civic comes with 130hp, so you should stomp on the DX unless he's done an engine swap, or is running so sort of forced induction like N2O, or a turbo.

All I know is I know a guy with a ex 5spd with i/h/e and he runs 16.9 at best. and I run 16.2 with just catback. I have an AV6 but I think you'll be able to take the civic regardless.

My 96 EX Accord auto ran an 18.6 @ 77 mph at Bithlo last year, before new tires, new air filter, new spark plugs, coolant flush, and transmission fluid change. If any of those made a difference, it should be a little faster...though I dont really feel any power gain. What should the car be running?
