Nu here: I have a 96 Accord EX 2.2 VTEC

I didn't get any replies to my question on the time/ cost involved with an automatic -to- 5 spd manual trans swap... is it worth it? Anyone have any history or experience with this swap? What is the good the bad the ugly on it?

Also jusk seekin' opinions on what else I can do to speed things up without going internal...(a couple more bolt ons, no pistons, camshaft replacements etc...at lesat not yet) I have 500.00 to spend on the remaining engine upgs (the rest is for body kit. paint ect.)-- I have a header, cold air, cat back, Venom 400, MSD Procap w/ ext coil, MSD Ign box- just need to finish off the go so I can start working on the show!

Do I want to go with a Nitrous solution, or should I spend the same money on bigger injectors, fuel rail, Jet- chip upg, cam gears????

Totally appreciate experienced advice!

 

if you're gonna do that you may as well go all the way and get the h22 attached... just a thought

 

I would LOVE to, but someone (Local) thought they could do a used (junkyard special 5 spd) with about 60- 70k (what I have on my engine) for around 1100/ 1200 but not sure? I have never seen a full H22/ w/ trans kit for under 2200/ 2300! If you have, tell me where to get it and I will gladly give it a luvin' home!


What about NO2 versus other mods? thoughts?

forget the nitrous get the bigger injectors, fuel rail, Jet- chip upg, cam gears sorry but I hate nos in any way

 

:werd: Chip upgrade don't do anything. Fuel upgrades are okay but not really worth it. It best to go along with N20.

500 is pretty tight for a performance upgrade. In my state, I can get a full H22A JDM block with tranny and everything for about 1500-1700. Plus other parts + labor = 2500 complete.

I first got my H22A swap complete installed with N2O settup for 2800. (not included the n20 kit) About 1.5 yrs ago.

If your car is pretty much a show, then get some N2O for fun. You may not juice it always but it fun to play it once a while.

Thanks bro...Just so U know I have already dropped $1200 on perf mods (& Motegi rims/ Kumho tires) I just have 500 left for the go and about 1k (or less for show)- trying 2 get the best of both worlds.

ahh but a H22/ H22a would be so tastee! One day!

Shout out to all who gave/ give input- still seeking mo...then I will let ya know (w/ pics what I decide on) I want to finish the go-box in about 3 wks then on to the body kit/ show stuff
