Default Some mild mods *pics*

Hey fellas...don't get your hopes up, it's nothing amazing haha.

Thanks to F23A4_AcCoRdude for the good deal on the lightly used CAI. Installed it today.

I also got real sick of looking at my ugly heat shield. I know it doesn't look as good as a nice header in there, but this was cheap.

Yep, got a little crack at the bottom.

Bay with new CAI and painted heat shield:

Not as cheap as you think. CAI upgrade nice! For some reason I think the heat sheild would have looked good in red. Lol, just kidding! Anyways, you where right so I thought I'd take this time to apologize "for you know what". You can take it or leave it.
If that was my heat shield I would have used half a can of "mothers" on it and polished it. Seen some people set it in grips and buff away. My stock shield looked like that, got it chromed out and later sold.

I had my cover sprayed with blue caliper paint before I got headers. The only place where I got any discoloration was where it bolted to the exhaust manifold, and that was minimal.

Nice Mod!

Let us know if you notice an increase in power with the CAI.
I'm trying to get one myself but I'm still not sure if it's worth the price...$170.00.

Thanks

I figured I'd drive with it for a while and see if I like it. I got i used for a good price, so it wasn't a big risk.

Well, after a couple days of driving, some areas got a little melted, not bad, but I'll probably redo it with some higher temp paint. I heard that 500 sometimes doesn't cut it, i may try some 1200 and see how it works. I just lightly sanded the metal, and the paint was pretty cheap, $5 or so a can.

Haha, nice.....finally broke down and bought an intake? Heat shield looks nice, I probably would have just painted it aluminum colored though, but it looks good. Feel any gains from the intake?
