ev6 engine cover

should the 2003 accord ex v6 have a cover over the engine ? i opened up my hood just now and found this giant engine baring with metal parts and all.

there will be a good amount of metal showing, it's not going to be covered like a new bmw or mercedes engine. you should have a manifold cover though (between the two cylinder heads) so if that is missing, ask the dealer to get you another one
