Need help with HID...
Hey guys, i need some help with a lighting question. I did a search but didn't get any good answers.
I just installed the one piece JDM projector headlights and they are pretty bright for having those nasty yellow stock bulbs that come with it. I am looking to upgrad the lights with a real HID kit and i don't know how to convert it and/or what size is the right size. I don't want to hack up the exisiting wiring just incase i ever want to put the stockies back on.
Lastly, should i worry about melting the housing of these lights as well? Thats the last thing i wanna do, but i'm tired of the "fake" HID look with those $20 bulbs that i have to replace every 3 to months! Can anyone help me in detail? Thank you in advacne!!!

I just bought some new projector headlights TYC for my 2000 Accord the bulbs for my low beam are H3, it'll say what type of bulb right on the backside of the bulb. I still haven't installed my projo's yet. I will probably upgrade to HID next year not this year am too broke with all the crap am buying lately.
You also have to becareful about how the HID will look in your headlights. My friend has a 90 750il BMW and when he put HIDs into his projector headlights, 6000k, they look like less that 4100k compared to my 6000k.

Stay with 4100-4300K for the best light output, even after color shift.
