03 overheating! help
I agree with Fastball, but I also feel the same way toward the 6th gens too. I've been a member on several other Accord forums for quite a while (9 years) and it seems as though 6th and 7th gen owners are having the most quirks with their cars...I never heard this many complaints or mechanical problems with the 4th and 5th gen Accords. When the 94s first came out, people were reporting loose rubber seals around exterior door handles and stuff like that, but nothing significant like what I've heard since the 6th gens were introduced. The transmission issue certainly didnt help matters. I think I'll hang on to my 96
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that is it a bad car, just pissed that I got a lemon. No manufacturer is perfect and some lemons will happen. It sucks that I have to deal with it though.
I'm not positive what they are doing other than replacing the water pump and thermostat. They have had the car a week now and are talking about having a honda of america person come out to look at it.
I bought the car with 5 miles on it, I don't think it got beat up too bad prior to my purchasing it.

man, I would probably freak out and demand another car, or my money back and just go to another dealer.
A. Your car was some kind of "slip-up" at the factory
B. Something was damaged somwhere betwwen the final point of assembly to the moment you got in the car and drove off.
C. Something happened when the car was in your hands.
I think it was probably B, since It would seem unlikely that a car that constantly overheats would have left the factory. (from what I heard, they dyno each Honda before shipping it off)
personally, I would demand another car or my money back. Who knows what could happen down the road, and you wouldn't want this experiance to be in the back of your head, especially when you spend big $$$ for a new car...
