Default Reverse lights stuck on

I'm not sure how much this will cost to fix so i just took them out for now
but let me mention that they go off in 1st 3rd and 5th gear
but are on in 2nd and 4th

is there anything i can do myself or is the switch inside the transmission and unaccessable?

That sounds like such a weird problem. How did you even find out it was happening?

well, 2nd 4th and R are all on the bottom, and it looks like the back up light switch is malfunctioning slightly. pull the cover of and see if you can see where the problem is. It may be obvious, but then again it may not.
