Exhaust help Please
Well a couple of months ago I bought a Tanabe Racing medallion exhaust for my car off ebay. But it was only the rear section from the axel back. So I just welded that on and my exhaust tone was perfect! nice and deep and not annoying.
Well yesterday I went to a exhaust shop and found out my resonator was leaking so everytime I reved my car when the rpms went down it would make a little farting kinda chokeing noise where the resonator was.(not out of the exhaust)
So I had a shop weld a 2.25 inch straight pipe where the resonator was to the clutch pipe. And now my car sounds like crap. It makes a buzzing noise! This is not cool and I dont represent my car like this.
I need help on what to do. If I put a stock resonator on with 2.25 inch pipeing from the cat and back would this make the same sound? Or would it sound like it was at the beginning when I first had it just louder? I really want a cat-back set-up just not a ricey sound. So should I just get a cat-back pipeing with resonator welded on?
Should I buy a resonator from another car that will help reduce the noise even more?
Thanks, Jon

Don't know all the answers, but I think you should just invest in a FULL catback exhaust. That way itz all bolt-on and if all the piping is made from the same company, you could always call them if something goes wrong.
