Should I buy this?

$226 minus $15 (coupon) doesn't seem bad for ~15hp + ~11ft/lbs. torque

so what's better, the regular ingen CAI or the "race" one shown above. also, should I wait until then make a Short Ram Intake for the 7th gen?

isn't the regular CAI a 2-peice vesion?

anyways, I thought the Race Division was setup to provide the maximum power gain :dunno:

The "Race" version is just a 1 piece version of their short ram+extension. I've always liked Injen. I say go for it.

wow...15 hp and 11 ft/lbs...them's is crazy numbers...i thought cai's made like 7-10 horses usually...and if it's 2 piece...wouldn't that be a worse design than 1 piece, performance-wise...because it adds an extra joint, so the air don't flow as straight...but i guess if you're in a place w/ a lot of rain and scared of driving through 1'+ puddles, then you need the 2 piece

I believe it's the 03 V6. Nothing like the gains we would get on the F23...

2003 v6

swear to god, injen's site says upto 7hp with the reg. CAI, up to 15hp with the race version. it looks like a one piece to me???

anybody know what the tradeoffs are for a CAI vs a Short Ram Intake?

*risk* of water ingestion, hard to reach for filter maintenance, etc.

However, for THAT large of a gain compared to a Short Ram, it's worth it IMO...
