Default help! I blew a code on my 6th gen.

so I'm driving around an on ramp and come onto a main road. I downshift to second and punch it. well the car starts to go, and all the sudden my car stops sucking air. my car did not respond. I take my foot off the gas pedal, and try it again and its works but the engine lite goes off. The air outside was really dense, could that have anything to do with it? I checked under the hood to make sure my intake, and the vacume line were attached and everything seems ok under the hood. Anyone know what could have happened? I'm thinking of droping it off at the dealership and have them do the 90000 service early, and change my timing belt. My car has about 87000-88000 miles on it now. anyone know what I should do?:wtc:

ok, so I did the paper clip trick, and its code 22. I looked it up and the code means I had Vtec failure. that doesn't soud good at all. What should I do now?

so I found out that my car is fine. I just had to add some oil. I was told that my vtec cam lobes did not engage. My oil level was low and it should be fine now. Now if my oil light would have gone off there would have been problems. Thank god my car is ok.

that happened to me once...same thing, hard cornering, it gets to about 4700 rpm and chokes, then goes once you straighten out. i was down 2qts...and l don't know why i was down. i was due for an oil change but not overdue (3000mi) and i had no visible leaks under the car. changed the oil, checked it before my next oil change 3000mi later, and i wasn't down at all.

maybe someone stole some of my oil? probably just did a lot of high RPM driving during that time...

that is exactly what happened to me. lots of high RPM driving. how did you turn off the check engine light? or did you have the dealership turn it off for you?
