Help Please
I have a 92 Honda Accord that intermittenly will not start. It will crank, but it will not fire. If I let it sit for a while, it will start. Seems to do it almost exclusively when it is hot - not the engine is hot, but it is hot outside. Is there any common Accord aliments that could lead to this. I heard that the distributors are not very good and could be the cause. Any help would be appreciated.
Its the PGMFI Main relay under the drivers side of the dash up and behind the cruise control control unit to the left.... I am 100% sure of it. you may be able to pull it out and take the relay apart and see the cracked solder connections around some of the pins on the green circuit board, (you may need a magnifying glass) they can be resoldered if you want to try that before buying a new one for 60 dollars. To diagnose it lay on your back and remove the cruise computer and while cranking the engine reach up and smack it, the car should start right up. its the black rectangular black box with a brownish orange side where the connector attaches.
