Default Cleaning Wheels

Ok, i got a 1997 accord SE and the guy who had it earlier painted the factory rims. Now the paint is half chipped off and looks like shit. How can i remove all the paint off of it so its back to normal? is it possible?

If you want ALL the paint off, includint the clearcoat that may have been there originally...you could use a solvent or even brake fluid. I have no idea if that would have a negative effect on the metal, but it'll take the paint off.

but if i sand it, it will take off the factory design on the rims. I just want to remove the paint to go back to the factory look. I tried paint thinner, doesnt work that well.
