Default 1991 Honda Accord Help... asap please

Hello... My 1991 Honda Accord came with this 'sports mode' where, basically it does not shift down from 4th speed when it is on. It won't change out of sports mode. I have heard that you could un screw the negative side of the battery for about 5 mins and then put it back on. I've tried it once and it worked. Then the car got suck in sports mode again, so i tried the battery thing again, it didn't work. Is there anyone who can help me, or direct me to a link or something that could help me. Well, thanks a lot.

Sport Shift does not keep the tranny from shifting out of 4th. S-Shift holds each gear a little longer before shifting so the car revvs higher in all gears , creating a more sporty driving experience.....

Okay, thanks for telling me what exactly sports mode was... but, if my car gets stuck in it, how do I get it out and back into the normas mode?

Before disconnecting the battery again get the ECU code first and get back to us with it. This will indicate the actual problem with your vehicle and only then we can suggest the remedy.

yeah the 90-91 will let the s light on if there is an internal tranny problem. the 92-93 will flash the d4. on 92-93 if u short the blue connector on the right side of the dash it will flash you the codes of the tranny. i have a list here someplace.

Default "S" Mode Trans.

I have a "90 Accord and I replace the Transmission Control Module(TCM) and my light went off and runs fine, now. Check the salvage yards, but be careful.

Default Same problem

i've had a similar problem with my '91 Accord EX except mine doesn't get stuck with the "S" light on, it goes on and off, which becomes more annoying because it is really messing with the transmission. Anyone have any suggestions? Haven't tried the negative battery thing, will try and then get back to you guys if it works.
