Default Boosting an automatic 96 Accord EX I4 VTEC feasible?

Would the car (properly tuned) boosting at 5~6psi be reliable? What hp should I expect it to put down? Times?
Thanks,

the motor will be ok, the tranny won't. the auto tranny will suck up some whp for sure and not handle the extra power. plan on going 5sp or building the tranny. i would guess around ~180 whp.

yeah you're gonna need a lvl ten torque converter if you want your tranny to survive.

he'll need a L10 PTS kit and tranny cooler before a TC since that doesn't beef up the tranny to hold more power. it only helps to put the power to the ground.

with the right tranny, torque converter and tranny cooler you can boost an auto with ease. level 10 is the best route for the torque converter and tranny cooler (definite must have..) as for the tranny any good tranny shop and custom install a racing transmission to hold the additional power (i forget what manufactor tranny i have in my car now)

Generally speaking, how much would it cost to convert the car for auto to manual? I really want a damn stick...

^well a 5sp tranny can cost anywhere from $300-$700 depending on mileage/age. i would try to get something newer which would cost toward the higher end of that range, say under 60K would be good. 5sp parts are about $600, $300 for a new clutch, and $600-700 in labor.
