Accord V6 models are 24 valve, SOHC. How this works is there is one cam in each head. Yes, there are two cams, but that does not translate into Dual OHC. DOHC means two cams in each head. With an SOHC, the one cam has all 12 lobes (six for intake, six for exhaust). A DOHC has one cam for the six intake and one sepparate one for the six exhaust.

Honda does have DOHC V6s, and has made them for a while. Has anyone heard of the Acura NSX????? The Acura RL is DOHC as well, but it is not VTEC. It is a derivative of Honda's original non-VTEC V6 engine in the Acura Legend.

:eh: Uhhh what TL has a DOHC engine? Both the J32A1 and J32A2 are SOHC VTEC engines...
