How long does it take for springs to settle etc. And is this a 4 wheel alignment or 2 wheel?

 

get a 4 wheel alignment. wait a week or two. you will be able to see if you have serious camber problems, and if you do, dont wait as long, b/c your tires will start to wear unevenly.

 

most high quality springs won't settle much at all after the first couple days, so get it aligned as soon as possible to save your tires. as for 2 or 4 wheel, most places will take the measurements for free to see if the wheels need to be aligned, because if they do, then they make money. So they will tell you if you need a 2 or 4 wheels alignment, depending on if the rear wheels are out of spec.

 

I usually wait 1 - 2 weeks just in case there is spring settlement.

They say the springs won't settle much but on my H&R set that were bought used they settled after a week of mildly hard driving.

 

see, I'm thinking about how long H&R Sports will take to settle, since I want to know how long I will have to drive on them when they're off alignment. I think the Honda dealer here can't do my alignment without scratching my 18s, so I think I'll just put the stock 15s back on temporarily when I lower it, if that ever happens...

Do H&R springs take a while to settle?

 

I would say if they are going to settle 2-3 weeks should be enough to do it in.

 

o damn I remember talking to you about H&R springs which ones did you get, LX4CYL? My H&R springs are still sitting in my garage I wanted to get some shocks and do it all at once... How much did it cost you to install your springs?

I'm dead set on buying H&R Springs, Koni Shocks, Comptech sways, and the front Acura TL-S strut bar, but my dad, who owns the car, and controls my bank account, won't let me. I'll convince him, as he's currently under the impression that I just want to get springs and pay somene else to install them. (I want to install everything by myself)

 

mine was done the very same day about an hour or so later... they had massive amounts of trouble getting mine within specs. get a 4wheel alignment...

 

why?
