pinstripes removal
use a hair dryer and heat up the pinstripe.... this is to "melt" the glue... slowly remove the pinstripe... use Goo Gone to remove any excess glue... that's just the rough idea... do a search.. u should come up with a more detailed procedure...
i did exactly as darkside did (but used a real heat gun). It was a major pain in the ass because the pinstripe consists of:
A: The color part
B: The Glue
Mostly all that came off easily was the color, the glue you gotta use your nails :a: and when its all off, use goo-gone on the whole thing and wipe it off. Took me about an hour to do it all, but it was damn worth it, my car was gold/silver with a gold pinstripe :barf:, now it looks
.
Hope this helps and good luck.

I just went out on a hot day and rubbed it off w/ my finger nail and some adhesive remover that I bought at a paint store. The adhesive remover helped remove some other stickers and the lettering on your trunk (EX).
Yeah, the pin stripe doesn't do alot for me. Too easy to remove and wax over. I took off the "CIVIC" letters and "EX" plus the dealer's little logo is all in the trash.
I did the same to my '01 ITR. Word of advice when removing the "ACURA" lettering...Acura has drilled two holes behind the letters. When you remove the letters, have a plan to cover/fill in the holes.
