Default Brake Problems

I just bought my first Accord 4 weeks ago and enjoy it very much. But recently I noticed that the brakes are screeching every once in awhile. I only have 37,000 miles on it and find it hard to believe that I would need new brake pads already. The dealer said that it could be that they just need cleaned. Does anyone have any experience with this that can give me some advice?

Thanks,
Scott

the only screeching I recall on my accord was the low brake pad warning sound. It's sounds like a metal whistle....

you'll get those noises. if the dealer is willing to fix it for free, go for it. next time you wash your car, really spray hard around the caliphers ... that's what i do
