Default 2002 Mods

Hey guys! I am new to posting on the site but I have been looking at all the threads for some time now. I have a White 02 Accord Ex (4 cycl ) I want to hear your opinions on what I should do to it and where I can get all this stuff for a good price.

I already have a really dark tint on it. Other than that my car is stock. I am buying the AEM cold air intake this weekend. I want to make my car faster (drive it like you stole it) and turn heads especially when a girl gets out. :naughty: I will be doing all the mods myself and with the help of a car freak friend. Please tell me what you think I should do.

I plan to rip out the fabric interior and replace it with a leather kit, put a turbo kit on, install a dvd screen in the little cubby hole between the driver and passenger seats, and put on a kick ass body kit. But all in time and with money.

Thanks for all your help guys! Can't want to hear from you.

let see, if you want a fast car, do a swap. Otherwise, might as well want to go for sho.

before everyone gets into the swap vs. turbo debate, remember that she has a 2002 F23A4 (you're in CA right? If not then it's F23A1), so removing a brand new engine would be a serious waste.

do the basics first.

Thanks!

I have been debating with many friends about a swap vs turbo. I would hate to waste a perfectly good engine. Thanks for the suggestions. Any ideas on what kind of wheels I should get? If so could someone do the photoshop thing so I can see what it will look like.

Welcome to HAN

Wheels are a very personal thing. The best idea would be to look in the Accord Gallery at the top of the page to find any you like and to look around on the net for wheels.

The turbo kit is your best option. However, if you have a ton of money laying around there are other motors that give you a far better basis for performance. The basic intake/header/exhaust will give you minimal gains. If you want to see a nice sedan, check out JRSchmid's car and also the ride of the week this week. Good luck

Chris

you should really focus on one part of the car at a time. Figure out how much you are willing to spend, and then start a list of parts that you would want to buy including the price. That's what I did.

basically, divide all your stuff into different categories:
Suspension/Chassis/Rims
Engine
Interior/Audio
Body/Lighting

it helped me clear my mind about my overall plans for my car. Now I wish I could actually follow through with it all

H22 (which is what you'd want) should be around 4k for everything, I think. Then you have an extra 50 horsepower or so and a great starting point for modifications.
