Well if you had asked me before you bought the car, I woulda told you that 6 speeds would be fairly easy to get for MSRP or under within months

The same thing happened with the 98 Accord Coupe and the 2001 S2000...dealers gouged customers and lied about how few would be made until supply exceeded demand.

Your best bet is to wax your car up real good and sell it ASAP before you take any more depeciation. If you really want the 6 speed that badly, that is...and I would.

Ha. All that to figure out you're gonna just keep the car you have as is. That's why you take your time when buying a car, and don't buy on impulse. Just a nickel's worth of free advice.
dealers are receiving very limited stock of the accord v6 6-speed...allocated stock is based on sales csi scores and monthly sales reporting.
don't sell your car till you have a new one waiting for you...you could be waiting quite some time. the dealership i'm working at is receiving two, possibly 3 for the entire year, at least that was the quote a few weeks ago.
V6 6-speed transmissions are available through dealers at this time...they list for $1864.68 and would arrive at the dealer a day or two after ordering.
this does not include all the linkage replacement required, such as the shifter, clutch pedal, hydraulic lines, cluster, etc...plus labor
