I have a sedan (sig) with Injen CAI and Greddy EVO catback, but it's automatic.

My friend was talking mad **** how his 2001 Integra LS with AEM CAI and Thermal R&D catback with manual tranny could rape me.

IS THIS TRUE?!

 

he'll take the holeshot for sure, hes much lighter and the manual tranny lets him launch at a higher rpm. plus his gear ratios are much closer so he was have better acceleration.


but if hes a bad driver, u might take it.

 

do you have an EX? He'll probably win because integra's are lighter and because of his manual transmission.

on the day of the race take out your spare tire and anything in your trunk and drive by urself.

 

The teg would own you. The only way you can win is if you make more HP, torque conveter or even a new tranny otherwise there is no chance.

 

or if u really wanna make sure ur going to win, just buy some NAWS . Bet the dude 500 bucks, so then your basically getting a free nitrous setup.

 

A couple of days before you race, see if you can get him away from his Integra. Then, promptly to the moral thing and throw in five twenty pound bags of sand.

 

PERSONAL EXPERIENCE... my friend had a 95 special edition(same engine as the LS, came with leather, sunroof and stuff, only difference with Special edition) integra, with AEM cai and a muffler oNLY (1/3 pipping, his was pretty long for just a muffler from i forgot what company, so long ago since he sold it...) anyway, he kicked the LIVING S&($*(@#$ out of me, he told me the AEM cai for some reason gained like crazy HP, like 10 HP to the Wheel according to dyno, for some reason, more than the GSR even got from the AEM.. dude, he would rape u like none other, at 50-60 mph, where u would think my vtec did something(he didnt have it), did nothing, and my friend had sunroof man, and doesnt some LS's not have sunroofs? he spanked me in the beginning, and i only caught up to him at 90-100, LOL.... i dont care if u take out your whole interior, and spare tire, and u had no gas in the tank, he would kill u... all i had was a catback exhuast at the time, and my car wasnt broken in, but still... with a broken in car, and my CAI and a few other things i have, i dont think i could take him today even, and yes, i have a 98 accord 2dr tho, I4 auto, and he had a manual 5spd... so i kno what im talkin about... my car is so slow... mid-high 16s 1/4 mile. some reason, i think the 4 drs are slower stock even compared to the 4drs... did anyone ever see how motor trend and car and driver would have V6 accord 2drs clocked faster than the 4 drs? is that just cuz their heavier or something, or the way they are shaped LOL...
