Reason I ask is because I have a buddy in L.A. that lives in a fully gated area with million dollar + houses and we go up there all the time with our various exhaust setups and not one complaint......of course we aren't railing through the area either.

The point is to improve flow of spent gasses and reduce some of the uneccesary back pressure in the system. It is important on an NA engine to keep back pressure but not as much as the factory forces to the engine.

Apex ws, rs*r, greddy sp, tanabe hyper medallion, and comptech are some of the quietest after market exhausts around. You can also try custom piping with a magna flow resonator and your choice of oem muffler off another car to stay quiet and be sleeperish. The rsx-s, type r, cl/tl-s, 7G civic si mufflers are the more popular ones to grab to use for custom piping and the sleeper look.

Think it's loud now? Screw the neighbors, the cops and the EPA- cut the cat and muffler off and straight pipe that biiiiaaatttccchhh from the headers back with 3" pipe.
Hehe. Just pulln' your leg. Magnaflow makes a muffler that looks pretty stock but has great exhaust flow and is only a tiny bit louder than a stock exhaust.

well from my experiance, i've found that as long as u don't romp on the gas with accords they are pretty quiet. and also there is a certain RPM where your exhaust will be the loudest, mine is about 2500-3000 RPM, if you just keep the car runnin at about 2k RPM u should be fine no matter what exhaust ya got
