I'm so sick of correcting people on this, no offense. I need to set it up as the canned text.

1) There is no Accord Type-R anymore.
2) The Accord Euro-R, which you probably refer to, is NOT the Acura TSX. The Euro-R has a 220 horsepower K20.
3) The Acura TSX is the Accord 24S in Europe and Japan.
Yeah I know the TSX isn't the real deal, but it's the closest we can get.
Same thing can be said how we get the EVO VIII here in the US as the Evolution. It's not the same thing but it's the closest we can get.

Um, our Evo is about the same as the EVO VIII. The TSX doesn't get the fantastic ITR K20.

We do, but our the USDM one doesn't have the revised ACD and Super AYC that the JDM one does. That's part of the reason why when you buy one here in the US it only says Lancer Evolution, not the EVO VIII.

if the tsx did come over w/ the itr k20, ppl would complain even more about its lack of torque.

Obviously. It isn't an engine for an entry level luxury sedan. Too high strung, too little torque. But, being an enthusiast, I would love the K20A.

Yes, there are real Accord Type R. They are only sold in Europe. And made in England from 98-01. They have a 218hp H22A engine. And the body is different then the 99-01 Accord Euro R from Japan. It is not as fast as the Euro R but it has a top speed of 240km tested at the autobahn.
