My car was broken into....
Hey all,
I have a 93 accord. The front passenger window was broken into. Nothing was taken though. The thing is....the previous day i got in a small accident with a guy making a right turn. I bumped his rear bumper but there was pretty much no damage, so we didn't inform the police. We exchanged information like addresses...names....phone numbers...etc. Then this morning my car window is broken and same with my upstair neighbors car. I called the police reported the vandalism but didn't tell him about the guy i gave my address to. Do you guys think it might've been him or just a coincidence that this happened the day after? Should i have told the officer? How much would it cost for a passenger window and is it hard to fix it yourself?
Thanks for reading and helping
Ben

Even if you exchange info, file an accident report at the police station.
But I think it may be a coincidence but who knows?
You can probably fix the window yourself if you can find one that is not broken at the junkyard, but I don't know how difficult it is. Call around for estimates in your area about the window.

My passenger window got smashed before and my CD player ripped out... I ended up have to pay $250 deductable and the passenger side window cost more then the deductable as far as I remember. So expect to pay 200+ for a new replacement window if you so choose to go that route.
If it happened to your neighbors car then it isn't very likely that the person was the one you got into an accident with. It makes no sense. Not to mention, you have his address so you could just get him back. Just forget it and move on.
