You can always be the first. Some of those wedge bulbs have up to 33000 total mcd brightness. If they work that good, they'll light up the whole damn car like a light house.

In my doors, I am using 3 blue 5500 mcd 5mm LEDs.

I used 2 white 6000 5mm in my tag light on each side and they light up the tag, the bumper, and the ground behind the car. They aren't filed down and are 35 degrees.

I'm almost done with the tag lights and will be completing my doors pretty soon. I'll post pictures.

A 470 ohm resistor is ok for general purpose, but you need to use a Ohms law calculator and figure out the exact resistor you need.

These are 2 of my favorites to use.

no cops have bothered me. They usually don't here unless you just plain dumb. To many tourists here to mess with the locals.

When buying LCD bulbs, what are the specifications other than color that you want to research about them before purchase?

not yet, I'm only done with one and I cut and painted the plate for the other one yesterday. I'll take a pic of the one I have done.

I finally finished my tag lights. They were a little labor intensive with manual hand tools only to work with.

I first removed the light assembly and then the clip on plate. I then cut a metal plate to sit in the light assembly from 20 gau. galv. steel. Filed it down to pit nicely. Drilled 2 holes for the holders to sit in. Then I painted the clip on plate, the plate I made with the holders in it, and the assembly.

The lights I used were 6000 mcd 35 degree viewing angle 4 volts and 20 millamps each. I used a 220 ohm resistor and the 2 lights in series and then soldered the wires to the assembly original clips for the original bulb. I put it all together and siliconed under the plate to hold it in and seal it.

They are brighter than the pictures. The camera don't take very good night shots.
