Default tire size

I am gettin 17 inch verdicts for my '99 accord, and am debating between 205-40-17 and 215-45-17 tires. i am worried that the 205's could be too small and make my car look like a matchbox car or something, but the 45 sidewall is also a drawback..... i need some direction, so help me out :drunk:

205 40 17s are for civics and tegs you definetly want 215 45 17s especially on a 6th gen since that is closest to stock diameter.

Yup, 215/45 is a better choice.

225/45s would look even better, than the 215s, especially if you got a 7.5" or 8" wheel. Make sure to get your offset correct though, I highly recommend a +45 over a +40 offset.

True, but that wasn't mentioned. Even if the car has been lowered (let's say 2") the car still shouldn't have a problem that can't be fixed by some light trimming of extra plastic. Of course, without proper dampers, he's going to be bouncing and rubbing all over the place. Also, he has a 6th gen rather than a 5th gen like you have. 225s could be used on a 5th gen by going to a 40 profile.
