Default 03 EX Coupe bad 6 disc Indash CD Player/Changer

Anyone else having problems with their Indash. I've had intermittant problems for the past month or two with the occasional problem. Sometimes it wouldn't read any of the cd's then it would attempt to play but I got a "ERR" on the display. Now ANY and EVERY cd I put in...It attempts to read it a few times then just ejects the cd. I went to the dealer where I bought the car this past Saturday just to see what they'll have to do and the carpet muncher behind the counter was like "you'll have to schedule an appointment then they'll remove the unit and send it off but it'll be 8 weeks before you get it back." 8weeks!! Wtf!! So I went to another dealership and they said they can read errors from the deck. They'll simply order another deck and let me know when it comes in and install it for me. So instead of 8 weeks it'll probaly take a week but I'll at least have my working radio. Anyone else experience problems like this?

Haven't had a problem with both silver CDs (originals) and home-made ones. I use quality media though. Best experience with purple Verbatims (not sure if they still sell them ).
