Default Why is exhaust so........

fucking expensive for 5th gens. I mean seriously....it has like what 2 major bends. I'm sorry for ranting, but I need a new cat back for mine and it just pisses me off that it is gonna cost a shitload of money for some nicely bent steel. My custom exhaust on my old FC didn't cost as much as some of the prices I've seen, and it had dual mufflers.

I would feel better if I could get something good and quiet for under $300. Anybosy have a clue.

I have known how expensive it is for a long time now but didn't worry about it until I need it, doesn't that suck.

What are you looking at? Custom by a muffler shop? Or already made for your car?

Doesn't really matter, but all the custom muffler shops in the area are hella expensive. And the premade stuff is also hella expensive. Either way I'm screwed.

Hrmm, custom muffler shops shouldn't be more than $300. But yes, premade ones are. Still, not sure what is quiet that you can even get from a custom shop.

IMO, if your not willing to spend the cash, don't do it. I'm the kinda person that only buys top notch things.

you're not gonna have much luck finding a quality catback exhaust for under 300 unless u have some mad ass hook ups with an exhaust shop that will do a custom one. Otherwise, i remember recently at speedandstyle.com that they were having a crazy sale on Apexi WS catback for 5th gens and it was something like 399 shipped, which is a smokin deal. For quality catback exhaust systems already made for ur car such as greddy, apexi, etc, 300 is not even the wholesale price, so you're pushing it.

I don't think a catback for 300 or less is out of the question. That's what I paid for mine. $200 for my Hayame Type 7 muffler and $100 for the custom bent piping at a muffler shop
