Is Armor All Wheel Cleaner in the spray bottle safe for use on the aluminum alloy wheels of a 2000 accord ex? it says on the back it may damage uncoated polished aluminum...

I NEVER use spray on wheel cleaners...........they don't work that good and anything you spray on that eats away dirt just isn't very safe in my book. Soap and water combined with some elbow grease is how I keep mine nice and clean, and there is no chance of damaging the finish.

I use a specialized wheel brush and specialized aluminum wheel cleaner. And it doesn't eat away dirt, it makes (or at least attempts to) the brake dust soluble and work it off the wheel. They come out very shiny...far shinier than soap ever got them when i used to use that. With the spray, a hose and the brush it takes me about 2-3 mins per wheel including drying.

I'm sure it works okay, but any spray on wheel cleaner is going to be more harsh than soap and water. The only wheel cleaner I would trust is P21s, and that stuff is just too expensive. Can't beat soap and water in my opinion.......and I doubt my wheels could get much cleaner. But for you lazy people, I guess spray on wheel cleaner will have to suffice jk

Spray wheel cleaner takes longer than the effort it takes to use soapy water and a brush. Your beliefs are probably based on preformed opinions, so i won't bother. To each his own.
