Default 1990-93 Distributor sub-housing replacement

I have a 1993 Accord and have noticed the squeal in the distributor area signifying the need to replace the sub-housing assembly. How difficult of a job is it? Can someone give me some detailed instructions on how to do it as well as problems which could occur during the assembly process? Thank you.

what do you mean sub housing?
usually you have to replace teh whole unit if you are buying froma dealer or rebuilt.

anyway to replace it you remove 3 i think 12 mm bolts pull it off and then slide the new one on, there is only one way it goes in easily.

Just so you know, '90-'91 has different housing than '92-'93.

Sub housing is the piece that mounted to the head. #4 in the pic.

Blackchrome, Thanks for the picture. #4 is the sub housing assembly. I did purchase the correct one for my 1993. V4lu3s makes it sound so simple. A friend of mine said he thinks you have to align the pistons and valves at top dead center(TDC). Is this true? How is this done? Do any of the other parts in your picture need replacement when this distributor housing is replaced? All comments appreciated. Thank you.

I have never replaced one of them so I have no idea how to do it, sorry about that.

However, i do know that when you replace the sub housing, you don't need to replace any other parts, unless you want to replace your cap & rotor.
