if you have comprehensive insurance, say your car was parked at the mall. when you came out the windsheild was cracked. you pay the deductible if you have one and your set. of course if you have a high deductible like $250+ then this doesn't work. mine is $100, so it works for me.

some states do require free windsheild replacement by insurance companies in that state. i know MA does, but NH doesn't.

 

I think the price varies depending on make and model. Minivans and Suburban's have bigger glass, and installation costs vary.

 

So what kind of estimates are you getting when you call around to the glass shops locally? Shop & compare youre still goping to have to have it professionally instlled. Labor is the cheap part of that. Pick up the phone & dial.

 

I know my mom had her front windsheld replaced on her 2001 Camry.... and was replaced with OEM replacement Toyota stamped Glass... like $180 installed.

Most auto glass store will use PPG ... glass..

 

best bet is to call around...

 

Sweet! Found a place in Warwick, RI, "Payless Auto Glass"... $195, which includes tax and installation. They should be here in an hour or two.
