Has anyone tried the JET Chips Custom Computer Upgrade Kit? They claim a 18HP increase on the 2.3 vtec.

 

i'll ask my friend he has one on his 5th gen what his gains were. i know its a 5hp difference stock on the engines but the gains should be the same minus ur .1liter of additional displacement

 

Just got a email reply from them (customerservice@powerbyjet.com). The 6gen 2.3 vtec gains 11-13hp when the engine is not modified at all (or with a K&N drop filter). With AEM CAI + headers the gain is 18hp.

 

hmmmm sounds too good to be true but hey for the $$$ u cant go wrong

 

You need to use 92 octane fuel with this.

don't bother...jet chips are known to have problems resulting from heat...

i remember aeon's ago, rshih from this forum had the jet chip...he promptly sold it since it made his car react weird...he talked to jet ppl and what they said was that the unit was running way too hot to be functionaling normally, thus causing engine to behave abnormally...
