Man, that's why I like the 5th gen models. On my 94, you push a little button right in front of the thing to turn it off... Heh.

i think you are talking the check engine lite, there are no codes or diagnostics for the maint. required lite. to clear it hold the reset lite and turn the key on it will flash and once it stops flashing relaese the button if it goes out your done if it comes back on when you release the button keep doing it till it stays out. the check engine lite and maint. lite are two different theing even tough they are right next to each other.

No code scan required. I knew that the MTC required light was only the 7500 reminder, but I couldn't get the damn thing off. Turns out the trick is to hold down the buttom prior to turning the key, and then holding for about 20 more seconds. Thanks. Now I don't have to search the attic for the book.
