coming from someone who has a phillips 4100K kit ... go for the 5100's ... the color on those are sooooooooooooo nice. when i see my hids next to a 5100K set, my lights look bright yellow. it's strange.

my bro has the 51k those are bright as hell. Thats what i'd get.

Keep in mind that the color will shift over time. So your 4100K will get bluer over time.

Its like the engine break in period. Once the HID bulb is breaks in or burns a certain amount of hours the salts inside change and it becomes bluer. I didn't remember the techinical issue of it but you can read it over at www.hidforum.com . I'm a member there.


That is why all OE stick with 4100K cause over time it'll color shift. So even with color shift you'll have decent light output throughout the life of the HID. You put 6000K or 8000K and once the light burns in it'll get bluer and you'll have Smurf HID with even worse light output.

I hate overly blue HID's. 4100K or 5100K would be good.

how long do HID's last??

and wut if they pop or burn out

sorry i dont kno anything about HID so enlighten me hehe cuz im thinking about getting em but worry about spending that amount without getting the details
