f23/h22 tech questions
I've got a 98 accord that is needing a stupid amount of power.
A friend cracked his head gasket on his h22 & is gonna part out his car.Hhe said he'd let me have the h22w/ the 5-speed for $200 (mine is an automatic). He also has a f23 head that is practically brand new he doesn't want that he'll take $50 for.
Questions:
1) Are these good prices?
2) Will the f23 head fit the h22 block?
If the answer to 1 & 2 are yes, I want to punch the h22 out to 2.5 litres, get the head ported & polished, add forged pistons & rods, plus valves & springs, add a turbo running about 15-20 lbs. & a 150hp direct-port nos. My hopes are to get around 400-450hp outta it.
Any experience with something in this range or other suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated.

Especially given the H22A4 is DOHC and the F23A1 is SOHC. $200 is a good deal though, I'd buy it anyway and go look for a suitable head.
Id buy the H22 and spend some time rebuilding it (preferebly all motor
).
It would be well worth it if all he did was blow the head gasket.
