You can probably check the Haynes or Helms manual. I'll check.

Cylinder Compression pressure:
Standard - 178 psi
Minimum - 135 psi
Maximum variation between cylinders - 28 psi
(According to Haynes Manual: Accord 94-97 4cylinder)

Hope that helps.

How much does it cost to get a test done? I'm curious what mine are.

I'm just wondering why your mechanic would want your compression LOWER. :dunno:

my suggestion - go buy the stupid gauge and do it yourself instead of spending like $80 at the dealer. the gauges costs like $30 at Sears and all you do is take out all 4 spark plugs. put the gauge in 1 cylinder. turn the key until it cranks about 4 or 5 times then do that to the other 3 cylinders. it takes about 5 minutes to do but they still charge $80
