Default Body Shop

Well basically everything is being fixed perfectly, and he said that no matter what, I wouldn't have to pay anything. They are going to check the axles for damage as well. 2k is the estimate. Either way, I told him that I have been wanting to get my lips, skirts, and grill painted for a while. He looks down at the estimate from ins. co. and says "I think I can work that in here some how " Haha sweet I get it free!

that's the only thing that suxors about submitting a claim w/the ins, they have someone estimate the cost to repair the damage, and you can take it anywhere you want to have it fixed, but the ins will only pay up to the amount thier adjuster came up with, unless something else comes up, messed up axles for example, that they couldn't possibly tell by looking at it. Sometimes you luck out, me for example, when my ef sedan got hit, relatively minor damage done to the front and rear passenger doors, they estimated the damage at about $1300, I got the all the bodywork done, complete paint job and a new head unit for that amount

My ins co said this is $1800 in damage, the body shop has already said it'll be more because the color is hard to blend.

Yes but what do you have to blend? They told me 2k... but I have old paint so they take a sample and make new paint from it. Plus all of your parts that are damaged will be fully replaced/painted. On mine my quarter panel up front got scratched when the fender shot up onto it from the wreck so they have to blend that part.
