Default Is this normal

I was just curious if this was normal of not. When I am driving about 80 - 100 MPH my RPM's read at only 2 gran I was just wondering is that normal for a 96 honda accord ex. Or is there something with my RPM gauge cause I will go about 90 in 3rd and it will push about 4 1/2 gran on the RPM gauge then 4th gear will drop and 5th at a 100MPH will only be running 2 gran on the RPM gauge. Let me know if this is funny of some sort it has been bothering me for a while. thanks

My is at 3grand at 70mph in 5th. Most people are at 4grand. I'm not sure though. It seems to vary.

Yes it makes a difference, you have a nother gear to go into... think about it... when you chage gears, ur speed stays the same, but ur RPM's drop.

That was the lamens way of putting it... :fawk:

So between 80-100 miles an hour your gauge is stuck at 2K? I'd say something is wrong.

I can't recall off hand but at 70mph my engines at 3-3.5K So if your doing 100mph at 2K you might actually be in low earth orbit.

Somethings fishy, check your numbers.
