Default CV Boot Question

Ok, I finally got around to checking my CV boots. They look fine... not like dry rotted or whatever from what I can tell. And I squeezed them but I mean they are kinda vertical and stiff if you get what I'm saying so I can't feel a lot of gel in them. Anyways on the drivers side there was nothing wrong from what I could see, everything was clean. But on the passenger side... there was a small clump of black thick grease around the smallest part of the boot, covering the clamp that keeps it onto the axle. I wiped that grease off and I am going to check it again in a week or so to see if it re-accumulates. Any ideas? I'm at 125k miles... and I drive very very hard.

No they haven't... I don't think so, but I've only had the car for 15k miles... The dealer I bought it from said nothing about them being changed so I just assume negative.

u really dont need to change them until they start leaking. if you ever notice a dark greenish grease on your rims, thats really hard to clean, its time to change your boots
