I've had my 03 NBP 4cyl EX Coupe for over 2months now and have been reading about all the starting problems on the V6models and thought it was only related to that engine. 20min ago I just had this same problem. My car has about 51xx miles and this was a cold start. I was like "ohhhhh no....motherfawker!!" Anyone else with 4cylinders having this problem yet? I already spoke to my dealership and they told me to take it in when I get a chance so they can look at it and also replace my 6disc indash that intermittantly flashes the "ERR" message.

 

I was just at the dealer the other day and asked him about it. He said that while he knew that the 6th gens had "long starts" he hadnt really heard about it yet on the 7's. He said that things like how much gas is in the tank could affect the start time and that something to try was to press half way down on the gas...which I told him was a rather cheap solution, flooding with gas. He said he would look into it on their dealer net to see if there was anything there.

 

If you go onto v6accord.com and go to the 7th Gen Topic, there are several threads regarding starting problems in the 7thgen V6 model. Apparently lots of people are having this problem. I have the 4cyl EX model and that same problem happened to me last week. It took about 30-45seconds before it would start. And I had 3/4 worth of gas in the tank. I already talked to the dealer and they want to look at it, I just have to find a way to get it there during the week though before they close.
