Hey everyone! Just put a downpayment on a brandnew 2003 V6 Accord coupe, 6-speed, blue pearl. Can't wait to get it (2 weeks). I love them! I've only test drove an automatic and they're frikin' fast. I used to drive a 2000 Grand Prix GT. I was just wondering if anyone here knows if there is a speed governer on the accords? My GP was limited to 170km/h. Anyone know the 1/4 mile specs for the V6 6 speed. I also heard the they're only making about 275 V6 6-speed accord coupes in all of North America. Anyone know if this is true? Anyways, thanks for all the help.

 

So I assume because you are statin kph instead of mph you are in Canadia...eh?

I believe the US models are going to once again be speed limited at between 125 and 130 as usual but the Canadian models may be different but I doubt it.

Not sure the conversion rate to kph so I wil leave that to you.

That's about 210km/h. Heck, I'm not complaining! That's an extra 40km/h faster I get to go:thumbup:

 

Yea i love my 2003 accord v6 sd also....

I just wish I knew a way to remove that limiter, I know the dang thing can prob hit 140+ with no prob but if the limiter is around 125-130 that will suck...

Anyone know of a cheap way to kill it? like without spending $200+

 

Reprogram the ECU is the only way I know how.

I don't know about around your area but a reprogram here is only like $50 - 75 depending on who does it....but not sure if 7th gen programs have been released yet.

 

Where do you get your ECU reprogrammed? Also, still wondering 'bout the 1/4 mile times...?

Anyone know of any ecu programmers for a 2003 accord v6 yet?

 

someone on the other board ran a 14.5 with a v6 6sp STOCK...very impressive car...ur first mod should be the injen intake..it gives u a tru 10 whp....also puttin in premium gas...91 or above will give u another 8 whp....and the stock dyno for the v6 6sp is around 205 whp(with premium gas)...the v6 6sp is an amazing car!

 

I got v6 auto, so its only 5 speed it think... anyway i seem to notice that the expensive gas makes the car a little weaker (less hp.) You would have to ajust the thing that tells it how much gas to use or whatever to make it better... Oh well,

Anyone got some pics on how-to/where to install an intake on the 2003 v6 auto?

P.S. Still looking for a way to remove limiter so I can go faster... Haveing speed is useless if you cant use it because the limiter...
