So here is the problem. Up here in rochester, the roads are cut up pretty bad, and the car being as "slippery" as it is, Im getting a lot of rocks hitting the front and also a lot coming up over on top of the hood. I don't think I like the way the nose mask would look on my car. Anything that can be done for this? Any other solutions? What do you guys think of the mask on a red coupe...I think it'll prolly look cruddy.

 

well you can buy the clear plastic masks that are more permanent.... and you cant really see it on the car if you do a good job.. but i dunno how it would look on a car that already has rock chips etc....?

 

get a magnetic one so you can take it off whenever you like

 

You can buy clear ones that stay on there but are removable. You can't see them unless ou get really lclose... they are prolly a little expensive... they have to be cut to your car and professionally installed... may not even be a place to do it in your area. I think 3M might make the actual film.

 

The only thing I can think of is just be sure and don't tailgate people on the freeway. I've never seen a car that I like with a bra on, and besides...it's hell on the paint. I know how it is though, I have a few chips, it sucks. :soapbox: Big trucks should not be allowed on roads if they have rocks falling off them!

 

my moms 2001 camry has 80k miles on it, bought it new... all freeway, and the front end is like sandpaper.... really bad, but the freeway is always full of traffic etc... where she cant avoid being hit...

 

I was thinking the same thing about stones and the expressway....only thing I can figure is keep your distance and never stay behind a truck.

 

why dont you just buy a bra and use it only when you go on roadtrips, even if ya dont like how it looks with it on, it will save your paint if you just use it for the trips@!

 

Some people drive on the interstate a lot without being on "trips."
