Default shifter stuck help

I have a 90 accord LX and everything was fine until

on day I started the car and tried to put the shifter into drv put it was stuck so I had to put my extra key in the manual shift release on the right.

Do you fellas know if it is switch? any help will be apreciated
Thanks

Also when I turn the A/C the first 30 secs it smells like pee pee.
Is there a filter somewhere that is causinf that smell?

Thanks again for any help, I greatly apreciated

This is one of a few things... It could be the shift lock solenoid is stuck (try hitting the passenger side of the center console) , or the shift indicator switch is worn out (does the light on the dash show where the shifter relly is in real time?), or there is a problem with the brake switch (do you have brake lights when you hit the pedal?).

This is probaly caused by dirt and organic debris getting stuck in the evaporator, and starting to rot. You'll probably have thave the blower and evaporator removed and cleaned. Also, from now on make sure that you keep the cowl vents (the black plastic area between the hood and the windshield) clear of any dirt and leaves. Also make sure to have the air flow switched to Fresh air rather than recirculate.

Default evaporator

thanks man

it was the brake switch, after checking my brakes lights didnt work.

Also is it a lot of trouble to take out and clean the evaporator myself or should I take it to have it done.

Thanks again for your help.
