Default Removing Dupli-Color Touch Up Paint?

I filled in a couple scratches of my car with Dupli-Color touch up paint that I bought from Wal-Mart about 6 months ago. Well the color isn't a perfect match for my car, and then I didn't know I could get it from the dealer... which I did now. How can I remove the old touch up paint before I put the good stuff on there?

Thanks,
John

if you filled in a little hole you can pick it off with an xacto knife if you plan to fill it directly in. if you touched up a scratch, you'll have to try to buff it out... i use TR-3 Resin Glaze (it's not for this purpose, but works wonderfully). If you have a large area, i recommend using M.E.K. which is a type of paint thinner/acetone, but has a slower drying time and takes paint off great. i untinted my taillights this weekend (i'm going to retint it right in the near future) and i've had to go through all this except for the touchup little pits in the paint thing. that technique is just common sense because its a precise job and you dont want to make it any worse.

how much did the dealer charge you for your touchup paint? wonder how much they charge for a larger amount and if it comes in a can form...

Mine was only 6 dollars for a small glass container... not sure on the size, but its plenty for touch up paint... all I will never need. About 3/4 oz.
